Centering Prayer

The UCSJ Centering Prayer Group meets each Monday morning at 8:30 AM in the library to share in a time of contemplative prayer, or listening prayer, an ancient Christian tradition recently recovered in the 1970s and 80s. Our purpose is to encourage and support one another in this spiritual practice of deepening our relationship with God. After a period of silent contemplation we read portions of a book related to the topic. Currently we are using the book entitled Just This by Richard Rohr.
