“Taizé” is the name of a small town in France where an ecumenical group formed after WWII. The group, devoted to reconciliation within both the church and the human community, offered the world a new way and a new vision for the future. The Taizé community continues to thrive today, drawing many thousands annually to pray, to learn, and to sing. Our 45 minute Taizé prayer services follow their intent and prayer style with distinctive Taizé music, scripture readings, a short meditation, quietness, candlelight, and permission to focus on listening for God.
